Chelsea Vineyards Sonoma Cabernet Sauvignon
Our wine is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon varietal from a single vineyard. It is estate grown on our 5 acre vineyard on the Napa-Sonoma County border. The vineyard is nestled in a small mountain valley, located in the Mayacamas Mountains area above Calistoga, which bridges the Napa and Sonoma wine regions.
The vineyard was planted in 1999 with 1103 Paulsen Root Stalk Clone #7. The grapes are harvested from the premium Northwest block of the vineyard. Starting with the 2003 vintage, the wine is aged in 100% French Oak barrels, 50% new. Production is limited to under 250 cases per year.
This wine is ready to enjoy now, and continuing for the next eight to ten years. Read on about the vintages, our winemaker, and places to enjoy and purchase Chelsea Vineyards wine.
